I’m writing to let you know that I have sold Hendry Cycles to Simon Gerrans, who is one of the most respected figures in Australian cycling.
My family has been devoted to Hendry Cycles for over thirty years.
It has been a privilege to promote cycling within our community and to provide you with the absolute highest level of service.
I truly believe that we could not have found a more suitable person to become the next owner of Hendry Cycles.
Simon’s cycling career contained phenomenal accomplishments including multiple Australian Championship wins, stage wins in the Tour de France and many of international races.
Importantly, he has shown, for more than a decade, a commitment to cycling charities and the development of grassroots community cycling programs.
I am delighted to hand over the reins of this business to Simon.

Throughout my career, from the Bay Cycling Classic to riding the UCI World Championships in Geelong, this is a part of the world that has been a big part of my cycling career.
So, I’m really looking forward to servicing the cycling community of Greater Geelong, the Surf Coast Shire, and the Bellarine Peninsula.
As a father of four, I’m excited about helping kids discover the love of cycling, adults get back on the bike, mountain bikers and gravel riders explore the trails, or a club cyclist or triathlete chase their big objective.
Thanks to Stephen and Ian Hendry before him, for the incredible reputation they have created for Hendry Cycles across almost 50 years of being a great local bike shop.
I’m looking forward to being part of the next chapter in the history of this great bike shop.
